Training cum Input Distribution of Piglets under Tribal Sub-Plan Project The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Debasis Sasmal, Sr. Scientist & Head, KVK Anjaw, who highlighted livestock farming as a sustainable livelihood for tribal farmers and explained scientific pig rearing, disease management, housing, nutrition, and vaccination practices.As part of the Vibrant Villages Programme, 15 farmers received Hampshire cross piglets (2–3 each), feed, medicines, and leaflets. Beneficiaries constructed pig sheds using local materials. The crossbred piglets, known for high fecundity, feed efficiency, and early maturity, are expected to provide quicker economic returns.
