A day long training on Vermicompost Production was conducted at Quibang village under Manchal circle on 22th March 2017. All together 52 farmers including farmer farm women and rural youths attended the said training programme.
Khoisnam Naveen, Subject Matter Specialist (SMS, Agronomy) was the coordinator of the training programme. He spoke in depth about vermicomposting methods along with its benefits. Further, he highlighted the importance of vermicompost and vermiwash in maintaining soil fertility for future cultivation. Later he spoke on the importance and usefulness of Soil Health Card and advocated the farmer to go for soil testing to know the nutrient status of soil.
Banim Kri, local leader as well as All India Handloom Board Member also spoke on the occasion. He asked the farmer to come forward and take active participation in training and other awareness programme so as to increase the knowledge about agriculture and allied activities..
